Please keep a reference to this particular blog post. Read the life story of each of these Bhakti saints. It's fascinating on how they brought equality during their periods, fighting discrimination.  Each one of them is a role model for today's Hindu.

Also research and leave comments similar Dalit (SC/ST) or backward caste born Hindu sadhus, mahants, gurus, babas and much more. We need to educate ourselves of the positive side of universal brotherhood instances among Hindus.
